THE MONICA HELMS

The Monica Helms cocktail is named for US Navy veteran, advocate, and author who created the Transgender Pride Flag in 1999 to lift up the community. She spent many years advocating for others, and her work has been recognized in countless ways.

Her original flag is now on display at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History.

RECIPE

1 oz Prominence Gin

½ oz Pronounced Apple Liqueur

½ oz Mixed Blood Whiskey

½ oz Lemon juice

¼ oz Grenadine

1 Egg white

1. Shake all ingredients

2. Strain over crushed ice

3. Garnish with blue sugar
