Neil deGrasse Tyson (NDG), American astrophysicist, planetary scientist, and author has been attracting more interest in the field of science since he became host of Cosmos.

So apples? In 2010, Tyson tweeted, “Cut an apple in half across its middle. Five seed chambers in view. Apple orchard flowers have five petals. Cool.” And just like that he got us to pay closer attention to the wonders of the natural world.

Tyson once received a cutting from Sir Isaac Newton’s famous apple tree which he grew to a sapling before gifting it to The New York Botanical Garden.

Tyson has spoken frequently about removing social barriers and creating equal opportunity, and he uses his platform to educate and lift up others. Inspired by his work, we created this cocktail. Enjoy!
