Bartender/Prep

Our bartenders represent Du Nord to all of our guests. As such, their job is to provide an enjoyable experience to anyone who visits our cocktail room by making all visitors feel welcome, serving delicious cocktails, and maintaining a clean space. People of color and women are encouraged to apply.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engage with and be hospitable towards all guests

  • Create a welcoming environment

  • Mix and serve cocktails to set quality standards

  • Prep ingredients and garnishes as needed

  • Handle transactions and money handling procedure in a quick, efficient manner

  • Ensure proper cleanliness of station before, during, and after shift

  • Follow opening and closing procedures for bar and cocktail room

  • Abide by all state, federal regulations and restaurant liquor policies pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests

  • Actively work to gain knowledge of cocktails and products

Requirements

  • Must have a friendly, professional demeanor

  • 21 years of age or older

  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Able to lift and carry boxes weighing 20 pounds

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time

Preferred Attributes

  • Great at talking with people

  • Quick learner

  • Interest in craft distilled spirits and cocktails

  • Availability to work outreach events

  • Ability to lead weekly tours

  • Bartending experience
